Moville, Iowa --- August Krayenhagen, 78, of Moville died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church in Moville. The Rev. Travis G. Cannady will officate. Burial will be in the Cushing (Iowa) Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home.
Mr. Krayenhagen was born Aug 13, 1906 in Clinton, County. He came to Crawford County as a boy with his parents and attended rural schools.He married Helen McKim Nov 16, 1926, in Deloit, Iowa. He was a lifetime farmer except for three years when he worked for a foundry and shipyards in Porland, Ore. He farmed in Crawford and Ida County before retiring to Moville in 1970.
Mr. Krayenhagen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Moville.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Donald of Galva; five daughters, Ruth Tuneberg of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Marvin (Bonnie) Seibold of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. John (Ethel) Tarbill of Galva, Mrs Lawrence (Dorothy) Timmerman of Holstein, and Mrs. Jerry (LaDonna) Dicks of Anthon, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Sesgebart of Ida Grove; 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
